State Health Insurance
The State of Mississippi offers basic health coverage through the State and School Employees’ Life and Health Plan for Legacy Employees and Horizon Employees. Legacy Employees are those employees that were initially hired before 1/1/06 and Horizon Employees are those employees that were hired on or after 1/1/06. The State Health Plan is self-insured, meaning that the State is responsible for paying claims and other expenses associated with providing health care services.
You may choose: “Base” Coverage or “Select” Coverage
The State Health Plan also includes a Prescription Drug Program benefit. CatalystRx is the pharmacy benefits manager.
